How I Keep My Studio Waste to Almost Nothing

Quilters and sewists know the struggle of the scrap bin. I have made a rule for myself. If a scrap is too small to become a flower, it goes into a bag. Once a month I give that bag to a group of quilters who make dog beds for our local shelter. The beds are stuffed with fabric scraps. The dogs get a warm place to sleep. The quilters get free stuffing. I get to feel good about not sending anything to the landfill. That is a win all around.
